A month has passed since Arcanus Crucis' debut, and I am so grateful at the unexpected support and encouragements I have received so far!
To start with, on it's 1 month anniversary, it was featured on the front page of webtoons' staff picks!
I remember checking in on the morning of the anniversary to see it was 2 subs away from 200. So later that evening, I checked to see if we got the 2 subs needed to end the celebration on a clean number, only to see it had suddenly shot up to 340. I was so confused because nothing had changed on my twitter. So I went around the webtoons app to find out it was featured on the front page! How wonderful! I'm so grateful to the lovely canvas staff for recognising my little project <3
Thanks to this shout out, this month I have managed to achieve not just 1, but 2k readers!
On top of that, all the new eyes had allowed me to give out all of the limited edition sheer-less promo art I was offering this month <3 I was starting to feel a bit awkward that I was offering 10 copies and none of it was being given away LOL I can safely say now that it was just the right number! I'm so grateful to everyone that has been supporting me so far! It really encourages me to work harder, and be more diligent so I can offer much more fun exclusive content! I have a lot planned, and I feel much more comfortable knowing there will be people to back me up in my ventures towards the unknown!

March Summary
Webcomic Goals
After a very long time of suffering and procrastination, I finally completed the new C2 in it's entirety - additional pages, new typesetting, and all!
I actually completed all of C2 early March. However, after feedback from a couple of beta readers, I came to the conclusion that I needed to add in an extra 5 pages in order to improve the story flow and transition. Therefore, the majority of March involved working on these 5 pages. Given how DONE I've been with this arc, it was an excruciating process that I finally pulled through. Thank goodness.
During this time, I also met an experienced typesetter who was able to give me advice and feedback on my typesetting. I am so grateful for their detailed mentoring, as I have found the new revision to be significantly improved, even for my own untrained eyes.
Although I wasn't able to complete anything else webcomic-wise, I consider this a win!
Illustration Goals
While I was unable to bring myself to work on that horrid steam train illustration, I did finish the other illustration I was working on! This was the illustration I was sketching during my countdown stream for Arcanus Crucis' debut!
Our boy Iwao is dressing up for the occasion <3 He will be the wallpaper download for Patreon in the month of April! Huzzah!
I originally wanted him to match the Wanda promo illustration from last month - after all, the outfits were designed to be matching. However, I think Wanda's illustration is too extravagant for the two to stand side by side. Either way, Iwao is still looking very fancy!
The following are some other artworks I managed to complete this month!
I also managed to complete this art trade that has been ongoing since last year... I remember being so ready to make a masterpiece out of this one, but then my profession got the better of me, and I eventually lost time, inspiration and motivation...
Irregardless, it was still a debt I owe, and a piece I had already invested too much time into already to abandon and back out. I tried to make it extra special to make up for the long waiting time. I hope it paid off!
Finally, I was able to finish it this month, now that I am able to dedicate more time to my art goals. Unfortunately, I have more non-commission debt I owe my fellow artists, so the debt pay offs don't end here!
Social Media Goals
Ah yes, this is a thing I had to do, wasn't it? Hm, I suppose for one thing, my art raffle ended and I am in the process of drawing for the winner:
This is my progress thus far. After I colour it, there's actually more work to be done.
So I've always enjoyed drawing desserts as a child. Even though I didn't necessarily eat them (that's cannibalism), I certainly enjoy the aesthetics (I am a very dapper tart after all). However, dessert drawing can be a lot of work, and I get lazy and have not drawn or designed desserts in a very long time. That is, until this piece inspired me once more. After all, I needed to draw an assortment of desserts for our baker girl. However, it gave me an idea. If drawing desserts was that cumbersome for me, why not put all my effort into a bunch of desserts, and turn it into a brush?
Therefore, that is my mini project for this piece. What I will do with the asset is still up in the air. Perhaps I will make it a free brush. A limited free brush later to be paid. A patreon only brush. A downloadable brush at a fee. Or perhaps I won't make it public domain and instead reuse it to create a new line of merch. Who knows? I'll need to make it first.
Another thing I accomplished this month...was an animatic. Yes, you heard me right. It sounds like a steep project, but after an idea from a friend, encouragement from another, and content needed for a prompt ... I ended up creating this masterpiece of a shitpost:
The irony is I haven't even linked it to said prompt I created it for yet because I haven't finished the prompt before it. At the moment, I've only linked it to people through discord, but I will eventually post it on my socials too. I'm not in a hurry to promote it though, since Frey hasn't even properly been introduced in the comic yet! Nor has the two's relationship been fully established yet xD
April Goals
Honestly I am not sure if I'm ready to return to the academic landscape. But given my situation, I suppose this month I need to at least try. I don't know what the future will bring me, but I can only believe in the wheel of fate. I wish I could spend more time developing my art pursuits, but in the end, the crippling weight of this unstable job compels me to think for my stable future.
Webcomic Goals
Complete C6 and C7. I need to really get a move on with getting ahead on my backlogs :( Celebration time is over, it's back to the grinder for me TAT !! If I have time, I would like to begin on C8 as well.
Illustration Goals
Complete the horrid steam train illustration (preferably by 6th April so I can submit to a contest). If my recent illustration histories are anything to go by, I want to believe that this is doable for me at this stage! If not, I just want it done so it can be the patreon rewards for May.
Merch Goals
Complete the brush set that I mentioned previously. I'm sure I can create merch lines around this work! I'll just need to do some designing and adjusting!
Social Media Goals
I want to learn how to make more video-related content. My crippling motion sickness prevents me from doing a lot of video editing, but I can darn well try!
